John F. Hallinan

John F. Hallinan, 85, passed away on May 21, 2022. He was born on September 27, 1936 the son of the late Francis and Isabelle Hallinan. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed spending time with friends at the VFW and Moose Club. He retired from the Tallmadge School system after many years of dedicated service.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and wife Sandra Hallinan.
John is survived by the love of his life, Shirley Farnsworth for 11 years; dear friend Michael and Tammy Perella; and beloved neighbor Dave and Nicole Benson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (May 31) from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 12:00 PM with Pastor Stephen Neumeyer officiating.
Interment will take place at Greensburg Cemetery.
