John D. Huft
John D. Huft, 78, of Mogadore, OH and Wewahitchka, FL died April 19, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Carbonado, WA to the late John and Lyda Huft. John leaves his wife of 57 years, Ramona (Bonnie), daughter, Linda DeLonais (Larry), granddaughter, Mandy Johnson (Jay), grandson, John DeLonais, great-grandson, Aidan, all of Mogadore; sister, Carol Utzinger and brother, Rev. Jerry R. Huft, both of Wewahitchka, FL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. John served in the U.S. Navy as a cook during World War II. He was a baker and a master carpenter, and had many other skills. John retired from Ruhlin Co. and was a member of Tallmadge Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at at Tallmadge Lutheran Church, 759 East Ave., with Pastor David Zachrich officiating. There will be services in Wewahitchka, FL at a later date. If desired, donations may be made to Suffield EMS or St John's Episcopal Church Building Fund in Wewahitchka, FL.
