John F. Hughes

John F. Hughes, 93, passed away on June 20, 2024. He was born on January 1, 1931 the son of Joseph "Jack" and Della Hughes. John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated for many years Hughes Body & Paint. John enjoyed flying small planes and gambling. He had many achievements, but his greatest was his love for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of 69 years Mildred Hughes; son David G. Hughes; daughter-in-law Debbie Hughes; and siblings Dick, Chip, Bill, and Jessie.
John is survived by his children Marla (Jay) Wheeland, Susan (Bob) Simpson, and Scott Hughes; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Per John's wishes, cremation will take place, and inurnment will occur at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
