John Raymond Karpinsky

John Raymond Karpinsky, 84, passed away peacefully March 21, 2024 surrounded by his family. Born in Uniontown, PA to John and Mary (Blastic) Karpinsky, he resided in the NE Ohio area since 1961. He retired from BP in 2005 after 23 years of service. John enjoyed fishing, gardening, reading, watching the Browns, Indians and Cavs, attending his grandkids' sporting events and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by siblings, Joan Klimasara, Frances Yarris, Ronnie Karpinsky. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 62 years, Carol; children, John (Lori), Greg (Jen), Scott (Cheryl), Michelle (Jeff) Taylor; grandchildren; John (Anna), Jordan, Jenna, Jaclyn, Ben, Kerry, Matt, Taylor, Bradley, Jackson, Kennedy, Madison; great granddaughter, Kaitlin; sister, Shirley Gennaula.

Family and friends are invited to visit Wednesday, March 27, 2024 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial donations in John's name to Hospice of Western Reserve - Medina.
