John W. Kelley, III, "Jack", age 85, of Randolph, passed away January 5, 2018. Jack was born in Akron, Ohio, on June 29, 1932 to the late John William Kelley, Jr. and Rose (nee Hadinger) Kelley Bates.
Jack graduated from Randolph High School in 1950 and followed his lifelong passion to become a printer by attending Howard Trade School. At age 18, he began his 35 year career as a printer for the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company. In 1955, he founded Kelley Print Shop serving businesses in the surrounding communities.
He was a member of the Marlboro Christian Church for more than 50 years where he served in many roles including Elder.
Jack is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, the former Emma "Jane" Hutchinson, whom he married on June 7, 1958; his children, Thomas "Tom" (Denise) Kelley, Linda (Richard "Rick") Yoder, and John (Christine "Chris") Kelley; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother, Dr. Frank (Judith) Kelley, also survives.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Bovard and her husband, Art.
Family and friends may visit at Marlboro Christian Church, 9383 Edison Street, Alliance, Ohio 44601, on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 from 4:00 - 7:00 PM; following calling hours Mr. Kelley will be privately buried at Hillside Cemetery (Randolph).
Memorial calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM followed by a memorial service at 11:30 AM at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Randolph Fire Department, PO Box 190, Randolph, Ohio 44265; or to the Marlboro Christian Church, in Jack's memory.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home-Akron.
