John Sterling Machamer
John Sterling Machamer, 78, of Akron, Ohio died peacefully in the loving arms of his wife Friday evening, June 13, 2008, surrounded by family members. In an atmosphere of God's love, strength and peace, he was ushered into the gates of heaven, as only moments before, the family listened to the precious hymn, No Not One-there's not a friend like the lowly Jesus, No Not One. He was a member of the Ernest Angley Ministries for thirty-five years, and held up the hands of his wife sponsoring forty mission trips to help take the Gospel to the lost lambs, to those with no hope. He also volunteered in the mission department and loved making beautiful crosses to distribute on the foreign field. Preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn (Housley) Johnson, Sterling Machamer and infant sister. Survived by his wife, Gloria, daughters, Pamela Joan Kiltau, Beth Ann Scott (Everett) and Valerie Lynn Richardson (Donald). He will be deeply missed by grandchildren Kyle Kiltau, Ryan Kiltau, Isaac Brown and Janell Brown. Happy Father's Day, Dad. It will be the best you've ever known..
