John J. Page

John J. Page, 81, of Akron, went home to be with the Lord on April 21, 2005. He was born March 29, 1924 in Cadiz, Kentucky to the late Duncan & Ora Page. John proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and later retired from the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company after 42 years of service in 1985. He was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Margaret (Bedlion) Page of Akron; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia & Charles Kuss of Wadsworth; son and daughter-in-law, Edward & Sherry Page of Akron; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, James Page of Akron. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. with Dr. Charles Billington officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 1815 W. Market St., Ste. 301, Akron OH 44313.
