John Palmer (Pappas)
John Palmer, 88, of Akron, passed away January 21, 2010. He was born in Greenville, Pennsylvania on September 19, 1921. John served in the U.S. Army and retired from General Tire. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen. He is survived by his friends, Jim and Vicky Fioramonti, to whom he wrote the following: "During the time of sorrow I learn how much my special friends mean to me. Jim and Vicky, your kindness and sympathy will always be remembered by me." Special thanks to the staff of the Arbors, Windsong, and Hospice Care Center for all their care. Per John's request, services will be private. If desired, donations may be made to the Humane Society.
