John Ivan Pavkov, Jr."JIP", 70, passed away on August 10, 2017 at his home. He was born in Akron on September 18, 1946 to the late John Sr. and Rose (Seprino) Pavkov.
For the past 24 years, John worked at Summit Racing Equipment. He had many interests, including RVing, traveling, rebuilding vintage cars and motorcycles, and model airplanes. He had a great sense of humor and loved a good practical joke.
John will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Diane. He was madly in love with her. Every moment they spent together was fun and special for both of them. He will also be missed by his daughter, Keri Pavkov; son, Rocky (Heather) Pavkov; grandchildren, Gareth, Tristian, Alexandria, Ava, Vincent, and Arwen; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Yvonne (Allen), Jim (Renee), and Janine; stepchildren, Candra (Matt) Morrison and Charlee LeMaster. He also leaves many friends and loved reminiscing with his buddies from high school.
Family and friends are welcome to celebrate JIP's life on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
