John Richard Paxton, Iii

John Richard Paxton III (65) passed away on 12/31/18. John was born on 10/8/1953 and was a lifelong resident of Akron.

He was a respected Carpenter by trade most of his career. John was a "scratch" golfer most of his life. His favorite golf course was Maplecrest G.C. where he loved playing golf with his golf partners, Greg Stoerkel and brother-in-law, Ed Ashton, and also his son, wife, sister, nephew, grandson and several other golf buddies.

He was also a long term member of the Akron Turner Club where he served as a Board of Director for over 20 years and was the President 4 different times. He was also the President of the Lake Erie District Turners.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Richard Paxton Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Paxton; loving wife of 38 years, Linda Paxton; son, Jason Guseman (Emily); sister, Janice Ashton (Eric); nephew and niece, Andy and Amy Ashton; grandchildren, Riles and Bay Guseman; Kim Guseman, whom he loved like a daughter; close friends Bill Severns, Frank Musgrave, John Rohr, Terry Glover and Rusty Vunderink and too many more to note. He also loved his "Happy Clams".

A celebration of John's life will be held at the Akron Turner Club this Saturday, January 5th at 547 Munroe Falls Rd, Tallmadge, OH 44278 from 1:30P to 3:30P.
