John M. Pierson

John M. Pierson, 58, of Akron, passed away on November 12, 2019. John was a custodian at Kent State University and retired in 2018 after 34 years of service. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also loved woodworking in his free time. John will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 24 years, Kathy Pierson; parents, Clyde and Carole Pierson; stepchildren, Julie Monk and Rochelle Monk; sister, Sue (Dean) Moore; brother, Mark (Jamie) Pierson; grandchildren, Jeremy, Gracie, Mariah, Josh, Jaevin, and one on the way; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. John's family wishes to thank Dr. Joseph Burick for all his loving care. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 18, 2019 from 4-6 followed by a 6:00 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER AKRON, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
