JOHN F. POLANC, SR.
John F. Polanc, Sr. Age 89, of Mogadore, passed away Thursday, May 2, 2002. Born June 16, 1912 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Ursula (Jurjovcic) Polanz. 10 year resident of Vero Beach, Fla. Retired Plant Manager after 42 years of service for Caterpillar (Ohio Gear). Member of S.N.P.J. and former member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Euclid, avid boater and fisherman. John is preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years Josephine, in August 24, 2001; sister, Louise Zagore; brothers, Joseph and Vincent Polanz. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law John & Diane Polanc, Jr.; grandchildren, Carrie Polanc (Stan Thomas), Christina (Matt) Bush, Todd and Brent Huff; great-grandfather of Alex and Gavin Bush. Family and friends will be received on Sunday, May 5, 2002 from 5 - 7 pm at the NEWCOMER-FARLEY Funeral Home 131 N. Canton Road. Private graveside services will be held at All Souls Cemetery Chardon. The family would sincerely appreciate memorial contribution in John's memory to Hospice of Summa, 444 N. Main St. Akron, OH 44310.
