John Ray Jameson went home to be with the Lord on November 25, 2006. Born in Akron OH June 17, 1947. He is preceded in death by his father, John G Jameson and brother, Willard D Gibson. He is survived by his mother, Odie Kilgore of Cuyahoga Falls; sons, Jesse L. Jameson of Akron, John Alan (Kathy) Jameson of Cuyahoga Falls, Darren Ray Jameson of Akron and Robert of Colorado; daughters, Dusty of Hartville, Jamie and Jennifer of Michigan; 3 grandchildren; sister, Earleene Ciganik of Ravenna; brother, Wilford R (Dale) Gibson of Phoenix Arizona. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Cremation will follow and a private graveside service will take place at Rose Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home in the name of Jesse Jameson.
