John Spencer

John Edward Spencer, 53, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2014. John was a loving husband, father and Papa who enjoyed golf, spending time with his grandchildren and game night with the family.
John was preceded in death by father, Joseph Spencer; mother, Beatrice Spencer (nee Henthorn). Survived by his devoted wife, Linda Spencer (nee Brett); brothers, Joe Spencer (Sherry) and Tom (Mary); sister, Jody Scalia (Bobby). Loving children, Karesha Nutter (Ken), Tiffany Shaffer (Brian), Thomas Schlarb (Samantha), Brandon Schlarb (Erica) and Jennifer Schlarb. John always said he was blessed and proud to have 10 grandchildren, and they were blessed to have their "Papa John". The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd Akron, Ohio 44305 from 6:00 to 8:00pm. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the family.
