John T. Bland
John T. Bland of Cuyahoga Falls, born November 20, 1932, was unexpectedly called to his eternal home on September 13, 2013. He lived a life dedicated to serving Christ by helping others. This was exemplified through his outreach ministries at nursing homes, The Haven of Rest Mission, and teaching at the Southeast Church of the Nazarene. John selflessly showed his love as a husband, father and friend to all. A man of true character that was loved by all and who will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lynda Bland; sons, Scott and Brett; daughter, Mindy Bland Cheatham (David); grandchildren, Mitchel and Devin Cheatham; niece, Pat Jones (Jack); nephew, Terry Bland; sister-in-law, Nita Parker; and niece, Lexia Cantelli.
A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 at the Southeast Church of the Nazarene located at 771 Dunbar Road, Tallmadge, Ohio 44278. Please no flowers! Just thoughts and prayers.
