John T. "Jack" Taylor
John T. "Jack" Taylor, 81, of Akron, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2007. He was born in Akron on June 17, 1925 to the late Virgil and Mary Ann Taylor.
Jack attended Immaculate Conception Church. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing and boating.
He retired from Akron Welding & Spring following 50 years of service.
Most of all, Jack loved and cherished his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Mary, two sisters Helen and Marian, and a grandson Joey Riccardi.
Survivors include his loving companion Elaine, her children and grandchildren, sister Eva and numerous nieces and nephews.
A public memorial service celebrating Jack's life will be held Saturday, May 26, at 11:00 a.m., in Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd, Akron.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in Jack's memory to Let's Grow Akron, 467 Harvey Ave., Akron, Ohio 44314.
