John V. Moyer 82, of Akron passed away May 6, 2006. John is a WWII veteran having served in the Navy.
John is preceded in death by his parents Marion and Mary (Murphy) Moyer; brothers Jim, Bob, Bruce and Charlie Moyer; sister Grace Wolfgang. John leaves behind to cheerish his memories his wife of 55 years Ruth; his son Dave (Cindy) Moyer; along with numerous nieces and nephews. John was a very devoted and loving husband and father who will be dearly missed by his family.
Funeral services will be held Friday May 12, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Newcomer Funeral home 131 N Canton Rd. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park with Military Honors being conducted by the Modgadore Post VFW. Online condolences can be made at www.newcomerfamily.com
