John H. Wagner, age 80 of Akron, Ohio, died on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Heather Knoll Care Center.
He was born on July 8, 1938 in Akron, the son of the late John V. and Emma C. (nee Herferd) Wagner.
John was a retired Akron Fireman after having 25 years of service. He enjoyed golfing and his greatest joy was spending time with his family, and his wife of 61 years, the former Beverly Ann Higgins; his children, John H. (Jackie) Wagner, Jr. and Glen C. (Kathy) Wagner; his several grandchidren, great grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Other than his parents, John was preceded in death by his daughter, Marsha D. Pruner.
Per John's wishes there will not be any calling hours or services and arrangements were entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron.
