John H. Wheeler

John H. Wheeler, 79, of Tallmadge, left this life and joined his brothers and sister on December 26, 2020. He was born in Mt. Clare, West Virginia on October 5, 1941 to the late Charles and Goldie Wheeler. He retired as a produce manager at Giant Eagle. John loved hunting, NASCAR, and working in his vegetable garden. He was fond of classic cars and had great memories of restoring and cruising around in his '66 Chevelle. In his free time, he enjoyed watching westerns, especially Gunsmoke. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister, Juanita; brothers, Kenneth, Charles (Cotton), and Leroy. John will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Sharon; son, Michael (Robin) and stepgranddaughter, Carey Bradley; son, Eric (Johnna); grandsons, Corey and Carter; granddaughter, Katie (Josh) Foltz; great-granddaughter, Elaina; sisters-in-law, Shirley, Candy, and Darlene; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. "Now go rest high on that mountain."
John's family would like to thank the staff of Summa Hospice for all their care, especially Ethel, Eric, and Gloria.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
