John R. Wright

John R. Wright, 59, of Akron, passed away on July 6, 2021. He was born in Spencer, West Virginia on February 15, 1962. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was the owner/operator of 852 Motosports. He loved motocross and passed down that passion to his children and grandchildren.
John will always be remembered as a loyal, hardworking man. He had a terrific sense of humor and loved to play pranks and tell jokes. Above all, he loved being a father and grandfather. His family meant everything to him.
John was preceded in death by his parents, Bud Wright and Alice and Gene Mullens; and sister, Regina Kirk.
He will be dearly missed by his children, Lisa (David) Moore, Nick Wright, and Kaitlyn Wright. He also leaves his former wife, Lynette Wright; brother, Roger (Sherri) Wright; sister, Eva Thompson; grandchildren, Jayson, Sophia, Gabriella, Landon, Carter, and Grayson; many other relatives and friends; and his beloved dog, Holly.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 12-2 followed by a 2:00 p.m. memorial service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron.
