Johnnie L. Wiley

Johnnie L. "Jay" Wiley, Jr., 65, passed away unexpectedly on April 17, 2023. Born in Gainesboro, TN to Johnnie, Sr, and Janie (Sloan) Wiley, he resided in the Akron area most of his life. Jay enjoyed reading, cooking, superhero comic books, listening to music, old cars, watching Cleveland sports teams, watching black & white movies and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Kim; sister, Donna Wiley; his beloved dog, Buster. He will be sadly missed by his son, Arlo (Amber) Wiley; granddaughter, Annalise; siblings, Sherri Wiley, Denna Sharnsky, Beth Wiley, Jodi (Roy) Burdette, Jill Wiley, Jenny (Jody) Doll, Jason (Lisa) Wiley; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of Jay's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jay's name to Defenders of Wildlife or King's Way Alliance Church.
