Johnny Predico, 47, of Brimfield Twp., passed away on December 20, 2018. Johnny was born in Akron on February 22, 1971. He spent his career as a truck driver. In his free time, he enjoyed rooting for the Browns and Indians, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends. Everyone will always remember Johnny as a happy-go-lucky guy with a big grin. Johnny was preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Woods; father, John Predico; mother, Joyce Hartley; and uncle, Dennis Pavlik. He will be deeply missed by his daughter, Angel Predico; siblings, Shalyn Palmentera, Susan Palmentera-Wordell, Laureen Palmentera-Velez, Tony Palmentera and Paulie Palmentera; stepfather, Jim Hartley; aunts and uncle, Debbie Merrell, Randy Sprouse, and Diane Woods; special cousins, Jason Lendway, Charmaine Hudson, Denny Pavlik, and Shane Hudson; several nieces and nephews, including Shyla Semuga. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 from 12-2 followed by a 2 p.m. funeral service at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. The family wishes to give special thanks to the staff at Summa Akron City Palliative Care for all the care given to Johnny. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
