Joseph Rodenbucher Sr., 80, of Suffield, passed away February 7, 2013. He was born in Akron, OH on February 20, 1932 to the late John and Julianna Rodenbucher.
Joe was a 1950 graduate of Rootstown High School and a proud, retired member of Local Carpenters Union 639 for over 50 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean Conflict. He was a skilled carpenter who shared his skill and time with Portage County Habitat for Humanity for many years. Joe was an avid cook and baker, who was famously known for his lasagna. He very much appreciated time with family.
He was preceded in death by his brother, John; sisters, Julia Madachy and Rita Rodenbucher.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Pamela, of 11 years; sons, Joe (Kathy) Jr., Steve (Carol); daughters, Jackie (Sheri Combs) and Julia; step-children, Robert and Lindsey Warner; grandchildren, Megan, Katie, Allie, Rachel, Lucas and Lauren; brothers, Ray (Shirley), Ed (Gloria); sister, Mary Lou Turcich; former wife, Roberta Shumaker; along with many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Monday, February 11, from 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Fr.
Thomas Acker S. J. presiding.
Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
