Joseph A. Bliss

Joseph Atwood Bliss, 85, of Akron, passed away May 17, 2012. He was born in Mauckport, Indiana on November 21, 1926 to the late Andrew and Faye Bliss.
Joseph graduated from Indiana University and spent the remainder of his life working as an engineer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; infant son, Laird.
Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Colleen; son, David (Maryanne) Bliss, stepsons, Fred (Kathy) Andrews, Frank (Susan) Andrews; grandchildren, Katherine and David Jr.; step-grandchildren, Lisa, Ryan and Erin Andrews; several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 1:00 PM at New Horizons Christian Church with Rev. Jim Baine officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Horizon Christian Church, 290 Darrow Rd., Akron, OH 44305.
