Joseph S. Armocida

Joseph S. Armocida, age 65 of Akron passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, May 28, 2022. A lifelong resident of Akron, Joe was born on April 23, 1957 to Virginia {Kovalchik} Armocida and the late John B. Armocida.

In addition to his father, Joe was preceded in death by his brother Stephen Armocida.

Joe's memory will always be cherished by his daughter Angela Armocida; girlfriend Sharon French; mother Virginia Armocida; sister Lisa Miller; brother John (Susan) Armocida; Angela's mother Debbie; many nieces, nephews and friends.

Joe spent many years in the tire mold industry, and was last employed by Akron Public Schools. He was an avid outdoorsman and collector of all things. Joe was stubborn as a bull, but had a heart of gold. He was a hard worker, and seemingly never stopped moving. Music was a passion of his, listening to songs, dancing and writing his own lyrics. He also enjoyed gardening, canning, and could often be found at camp or on a hunting expedition. Joe loved his family, his Italian and Slovak heritage, and especially the food!

As Joe would say, with a beer in his hand, "Let's hurry this up, I got things to do!"
