Joseph M. Bolinger



Joseph M. Bolinger, age 90, went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2007 in Akron, OH, after an extended illness. Born October 18, 1917 in Campbell County, TN, Mr. Bolinger was a resident of Akron for 42 years. After 37 years of faithful service with The Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, Mr. Bolinger moved to Englewood, FL in 1985, returning to Akron in 2006. He will be missed at his passing by his beloved wife of 71 years, Ola; daughters Patricia (Hal) Morgan, Luana (Bob) Boyd, Karen Scorzino; son Joseph M. (Stephanie); 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister Jane Scott; and brother Bill Bolinger. The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 1, from 12-2 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. with a funeral service at 2 p.m., Rev. Curt Thomas officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be grandsons J.B. Bolinger, Joshua Bolinger, Peter Scorzino, Eric Prayner, Christopher O'Connell, Aaron Boyd, and Scott Sir Louis. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Haven of Rest Rescue Mission, 175 E. Market St. Akron, OH 44308.
