Joseph Oscar Brewer

Joseph Oscar Brewer, 66, of Akron, passed away at his home on August 16, 2023. He was born on March 24, 1957 to the late Joe and Emma {Gray} Brewer.

Joe is survived by his loving daughter, Britney (Austin) Kirkbride; grandson Kayden Kirkbride; sister, Kathy Brewer; brother, Bryan Brewer; sister Audrey; best friends David (Lori) Smith and Brad Luke; many loving extended family members and friends.

Joe was one of his daughter Britney's biggest supporters. He was so proud to be promoted to Papaw in 2019, when his grandson Kayden was born. Kayden was his pride and joy, Papaw's little buddy. He enjoyed his dog Jasmine, spending time with his neighbors, working on cars, and watching old Westerns. Joe loved his family and friends, going to the race tracks when he could, and cheering on the Cleveland Browns.

All are welcome to visit at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 on Wednesday, August 23rd from 4:00 p.m. until the funeral service begins at 6:00 p.m. with Pastor Fred Webb officiating. A private graveside will be held for his family at Brewer Cemetery in Pikeville, KY, where Joe will be laid to rest with his parents.
