Joseph E. Morrison, 73, of Akron, passed away on March 1, 2007 after a 5 year battle with cancer. He was a hard worker who was always active, busy and very strong willed. Joseph was an avid coin collector and enjoyed using his Ham radio. He was a good friend to many and especially loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joseph was a Navy veteran who served in the Korean Conflict and received many distinguished medals of honor. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Virginia Morrison; son, John Morrison; sister, Virginia Ohler and 3 brothers, Bob, Tom, and Jim. He is survived by his daughters, Vicki Davis (Todd Pruner) and Laura Morrison (Richard Hudak); his sons, John G. (Penny Pavlick) and Greg (Missy);12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 4 from 4-6 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where a service will he held on Sunday at 6 pm, with Pastor Ernie Kemppel officiating.
