Joey Roberts, 47, of Akron, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 12, 2008. Joey was a lifetime resident of Akron and was employed by Summa Health Systems. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Lisa Vargo; daughter, Jennifer; son, Jake; parents, Kenneth "Bud" and Bea Roberts; brothers, Pat (Margaret), Jeff (Deborah), and Kevin (Paula); sister, Nicole (Alex) Sadeghi; aunts, Dot Rayoni and Cathy Hannon; and mother-in-law, Susan Rainford. Joey was the uncle of ten and the great-uncle of three nieces and nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m.
