Joseph E. Robertson, Jr., 39, went home to be with our loving savior Jesus Christ on October 23, 2011. "To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord." Joey was an honorable man who loved his children and family with all his heart. He was an amazing person. Family is the most important thing to him. Joey had a loving heart and will be missed by all that knew him. He will live on through his children and family. Joey was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rocco and Virginia Tassone. He is survived by his children, Vincent, Joseph, Piper, and Breeanna; mother, Teresa (Larry) Stone; father, Joe Robertson; sister, Angel (Scott) Webster; brother, Matthew Robertson; nephew, Alexander; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, October 26, from 4 to 8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a prayer service will be held Thursday, October 27, at 8:45 am, followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony's Church. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at 5/3 Bank in his name for his surviving children.
