Joseph Patrick Gregor

Joseph Patrick Gregor, 76, passed away unexpectedly on August 31, 2022. He was born on September 25, 1945 in Akron, Ohio and resided in Green, Ohio. Joe worked many places in his life, including Goodyear, ENSR, Kent State University, and finally retired from The University of Akron.
Joe is survived by his wife, Karen Gregor; son, Joseph M. Gregor of New Mexico; son, Brian (Mara) Polinger; daughter, Lori Polinger; and daughter, Denise (Steve) Reed; grandchildren, Seth and Shayla Roberts, RJ (Brittany) Moreno, Sydney (Mitch) Johns, Donnie Baker, Alex and Tyler Reed; great-grandchildren, Sophia and Oaklyn Moreno; brother, Steve (Louise) Gregor of Washington; brother-in-law, John Dakoski; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. He also leaves his lifelong friend, Fred Steward and special neighbors, Bob and Barb Will.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Katherine (Kearns) Gregor; brother, Tom Gregor; and sister, Judith Dakoski.
Family and friends may visit on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Private interment at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the MS Society, 520 S. Main St. Suite 2501, Akron, Ohio 44311.
