Joseph "Joe" Jennings Sears



Joseph "Joe" Jennings Sears, 73, passed away on May 19, 2007. He was born on July 28, 1933 in Hallburg, WV to the late Gilbert and Dola Sears. Joe was a devoted husband and father and an avid sports fan. He worked for 15 years at Acme grocery store and later retired from Goldsmith and Eggelton after over 30 years of service. Most recently he worked as a security guard for Cuyahoga Falls General Hospital. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jeffery Sears. Survivors include his loving wife Evelyn J. "Jeannie" , of 47 years; daughters Chris Sears, Jackie (Joe) Vasil, Laura (Carl) Braxton, and Rhonda (Henry) Braxton; sons Butch (Linda) and Kenneth; brother Gilbert (Judi); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 4-8 p.m. and Wednesday, 10-11 a.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m., Rev.
