Joseph Lee Kelley, age 60, passed away peacefully at University Hospital of Cleveland on March 30th, 2023. He was born on July 20th, 1962 in Morgantown, West Virginia to Lonnie and Patricia Kelley. He married his longtime friend and love, Yvonne Durelle Badock on February 14th, 1995.
Joe was a hardworking, determined, and loving man who lived for others every moment he could. A man who never sat still, he was constantly helping friends, family, coworkers, and even strangers if it meant that they would have a better day because of his actions, He lived and breathed for the benefit of others.
As a man who worked on many jobs and tasks, one always stayed stable: Blossom Music Center. Joe was passionate about his job, taking many under his wing and showcasing the hard work that could instill in everyone, even at his age. He was determined everyday to make the next persons experience there one to remember, and worked tirelessly to help satisfy thousands of guests for their big night. A small fraction of what he did through his life, yet one that has a tremendous impact.
Joe is preceded in death by his father, Lonnie Kelley, and survived by his mother, Patricia Kelley; his siblings Patricia Kelley, Leisa (Tim) Chapman, Lonnie (Marcy) Kelley, and Larry (Stacie) Kelley; his children Anthony (Terresa) Smith, Kyle (Brooke) Kelley, Austin Kelley, Kaitlyn Kelley, Johanna (Shaun) Thomas, and Joseph Kelley; grandchildren Tyler, Anthony and Serenity; numerous family and friends, all of whom he cared and loved for like no other.
All family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating the life of this beloved and adored man at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. Calling hours will be Wednesday, April 5th, 2023 from 5 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place Thursday, April 6th at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joe's name to the charity of your choice.
