Joseph L. Sigmund, 86, of Akron, went to be with the Lord on November 14, 2007. Joseph served in teh U.S. Army during World War II and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a loving father and grandfather and a friend to everyone he met. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters, and wife, Dorothy. He is survived by his daughter, Carole Stull; grandchildren, Jack Stull and Rachel Stull; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Dallas, and Sakari Stull; and good friend, Karl Lohman. Joseph's family would like to thank Joe and Sue Bearer, the staff at Summit Villa, and the staff at Akron City Hospital for all their kindness and care. Funeral services will be Friday at 12 p.m. with visitation from 11-12 at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
