Joseph S. Lagani, 62, of New York, New York, passed away unexpectedly on September 25, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Joe was born in Akron, Ohio to Adelina and Giuseppe Lagani. After graduating from The University of Akron with an engineering degree, he left Akron to pursue his dreams in New York City. While there, he attended NYU, and obtained his sound engineering degree. He loved to travel, and especially loved the fast pace of New York City. He was a talented musician, recording artist, engineer, producer, and entrepreneur. He could play every instrument, sing, and write music. Music was in his blood.
Joe came back to Akron to help take care of his Mamma. His love for her was above all else; Joe loved his family so much. He was so proud of all his nieces and nephews. We were such a tight-knit family.
He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Lagani in 1993. He is survived by his Mamma, Adelina Lagani, sister, Marisa (Tony) Ferrise, brother, John (Cori) Lagani; sister, Rosie (Tim) Elkins. He also leaves behind his nieces, Brittaney (Chuck) Hardy, Adelina (Charles) Elkins, Danelle (Dave) Kammer and Alyssa Hardy; nephews, Joel Lagani, Anthony (Kenyah) Lagani, Frank and Salvatore Ferrise, Desmond Lagani, Gianni Elkins, Gino Lagani; great nephew, Jayden Hardy; best friend/brother, Jeff Marginean and so many relatives and friends, too numerous to name.
Joe was a wonderful son, brother, uncle and friend. Our hearts are broken.
