Joseph A. Palmer

Joseph A. Palmer, 32, passed away unexpectedly on February 4, 2023. Born in Akron, Ohio to Marvin Palmer and Kimberly Shane, he was a lifelong area resident. Joe was an accomplished musician who loved to entertain others. He enjoyed being in the studio making his music, fishing, watching sports, playing video games, spending time with his children and hanging out with his many friends and family.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tyonna Baxstrumn Palmer; grandparents, James Martin, Joe Hale. He will be sadly missed by his children, Alanah, Jayden, Jayvion, Josiah; "Mama Dukes", Kim; siblings, Rebekah Palmer, Ashley Banks, Scott Bender; grandparents, Marion Palmer, Beverly Martin; lifelong friend, Caleb "Piff" Squires; close companion, Alicia Miner; many other siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Many people didn't see the side of Joe who was suffering with addiction. He was the life of the party on the outside while on the inside he struggled to find peace.

Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, February 11, 2023 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will follow at 12 noon at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Joe's name to the family, c/o his mom.
