Joseph V. "Bill" Spalding, 87, passed away August 29, 2009. He was born in Marion Co., KY and lived in Akron most of his life. Joseph served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. After retiring, he spent most of his time on Lake Erie where he was an avid fisherman. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim Spalding; and sister, Orene Stanley. He is survived by sisters, Ernie Eberhardt, Rita Woodling and Joyce (Al) Cramer; special niece, Lucinda (Steve) Jones; and many other nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place.
