Joseph G. Wehrlin, "Joe", age 92, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, died on October 21, 2021 at Heather Knoll Retirement Community.
He was born on September 13, 1929 in Akron, the son of the late Joseph and Frances (nee Beckter) Wehrlin.
Joe was an honorably discharged US Army veteran where he served in the Korean War; and was a retiree from BF Goodrich.
Survivors include his daughters, Sandra Newell, Janice Wehrlin and Lorraine Coy; his grandchildren, Joseph Newell and Ashley (Jeff) Hiple; and four great-grandchildren.
His siblings also survive, Frances Trogdon, Marie (Steve) Schueller, David (Linda) Wehrlin and Dan (Robin) Wehrlin.
Other than his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Norma Wehrlin; his grandson, Chad Newell; and his siblings, Dolores Adkins, Kathleen Shartzer and Leo Wehrlin.
Funeral services will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 1:00 PM, where his nephew, Fr. Leo Wehrlin will celebrate Joseph's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association.
