Josephine M. Bowers, 83, of Tallmadge, passed away October 23, 2007 at the Hospice Care Center. She was born September 6, 1924 as one of 21 children to the late Angelo & Mary C. (Bianchi) Colello. Josephine was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend who was fun loving and very much a people person who could always make you smile. She was a member of the Prime Timers of Tallmadge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Lowell L. Bowers in 2004; 17 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Alice (Gary) Navratil and Terry (Gene) Collins; son, John (Susan) Bowers; grandchildren, David (Rosemarie), Dana (Jeremy), Shannon, Kelly ( Charles), Garry, Brandi, Dustin; great-grandchildren, Luke, Austin, Noah, Olivia, Andrew, Samuel, Molly and Mya; sisters, Lena Chufio, Edith Fiocca and Loretta Flood; brother, Armando Colella. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, Ohio 44305, where funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Fr.
