Josephine M. Hiebel, 96, of Akron, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2021. Josephine was born on May 10, 1925 to the late Venanzio and Angelina Milani. She earned her teaching degree from the University of Akron and taught elementary school for ten years before marrying and raising her family. Josephine was a wonderful homemaker and a talented seamstress. She made clothes for her family, her daughter's wedding dress, and all her granddaughters' Halloween costumes. Josephine was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Hiebel; and brother, Robert Milani.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda (Bill) Nice and Rosalie (Steve Alexander) Hiebel; precious granddaughters, Laura Nice and Leah (Matthew) Furgiuele; beloved in-laws, Helen and Albert Greene and their children, Lisa Greene, Rachel (Greg) Bottone, and Albert (Karen) Greene Jr.; brother, Salvatore (Charlotte) Milani. Josephine was also excited to know that she had a great-grandchild due to arrive this fall.
Per Josephine's wishes, there will be no formal services and she will be privately laid to rest at Northlawn Memorial Gardens.
