Joyce A. Hysell, 74, passed away on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 16, 1939 in Barberton, Ohio and was a lifetime resident of Akron. Joyce was a longtime member of Gospel Crusaders Church and served as Trustee for the Ohio Country Western Music Assoc. She retired from Gojo and was currently employed at Visiting Angels as a caregiver.
Joyce was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years Kenneth Hysell, parents Royce and Ruth Gates and sister Belva Huxtable. She is survived by her sons Kevin Hysell and Kyle (Renee) Hysell, sister Susan McBride, 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and close friends. The family wishes to thank Threasa and Adrienne for their unselfish care in her time of need.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Gospel Crusaders Church, 2240 Goodyear Blvd, Akron, OH 44305.
