Joyce Lynn Giles, "Mini Mouse", age 69 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on February 18, 2023.
She was born on February 13, 1954 in Akron, the daughter of the late Hoy and Edna (nee Wilkinson) Forshey.
Joyce was passionate about her work. She was a retired floral designer at ACME after 20 years of service and loved her flower gardening at her home. Joyce also liked to vacation to the beach, especially traveling to Outer Banks, NC. She enjoyed her pontoon boat on Leesville Lake in Carroll County. Joyce loved her antique cars, especially her '77 Nova.
Survivors include her loving and devoted husband, Kevin Giles, whom she married on May 24, 2015; her only beloved son, Daniel "Dan" (Angel) Baird and her four legged fur baby, Lawleepup; her grandchildren, Shaiann Baird, Nikko "Nickel" Baird and Tyler (Marissa) Draiss; and her great-granddaughter, Nora Salem.
Her siblings also survive, Debbie (Johanes "Jack") Triosa and Chris (Denise) Forshey; her sister-in-law, Laurie Tasich and her brothers-in-law, Roy (Adrianne) Giles and Paul (Mary Ann) Giles; her nieces and nephews, Angel (Andrew) Henkel, Maria (John) O'Neil, Ashley (Katie) Giles and Shelby (Steve) Kempton, and many adored great-nieces and great-nephews.
Other than her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her sister, Robin Forshey.
Funeral services will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305 on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday, February 27, 2023 from 5:00 -7:00 PM.
