Joyce M. Higgins, 75, passed away September 30, 2022 at home with her family by her side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Arthur and Edna (Reynolds) Landin, she was a lifelong area resident. Joyce was a huge Elvis fan who enjoyed fishing, hiking, car rides, cookouts, playing games on her phone and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by siblings, Barbara J. Thomas, Arthur C. Landin, Jr. She will be sadly missed by her children, Sharon, Elwood, Tammy, Tina (Billy), Pamela, Sandy; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the doctor and nurses from Elara Caring Hospice for their loving care of mom.
Per Joyce's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be having a celebration of her life November 12, 2022 from 12 noon to 4 p.m. at 214 Bowmanville St., Akron, OH 44305.
