Joyce E. Mcmenamy

Joyce E. McMenamy, 83, of Ravenna, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2023. She was born in Akron on March 25, 1939 to the late Norman and Betty Perry Bechter. Joyce will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, loving mother, and grandmother/great-grandma "Dani". She was not only devoted to her own family, but also to all the kids who grew up in the neighborhood. Her legacy is the impact she had on countless children over the years.
In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Keith McMenamy. They celebrated 61 years of marriage before his death in 2016. They were a great team and were never happier than when they were working on projects together. Joyce was also preceded in death by her brother, Raymond Perry; and sons-in-law, Larry Winkler and Fred Frakes.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Sherrie Winkler, Shellie Frakes, Mindy McMenamy, and Steve (Dawn) McMenamy; grandchildren, Wendy (David) Naugle and Keith McMenamy; great-grandchildren, Alexa and Khloe Naugle; sister, Mary Thompson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She also leaves her beloved dog and constant companion, Booboo.
Joyce will be laid to rest alongside her husband, Keith on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 10:45 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
