Joyce Perdue
Joyce Perdue, 77, went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 18, 1931 to the late Victor and Leona Jansch. Joyce was a member of Arlington Memorial Baptist Church where she also worked as a teacher for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Cordee; and baby son Ivy. Survivors include sons Gary (Peggy) and Jim (Pam); grandchildren Suzette (Ray) Sayre, Shane (Sarah) Perdue, Marianne, Nicole, and Jimmy Perdue; great-grandchildren Dawn, Raymond, Hunter, and Connor Sayre, and Emma Pittzer; and good friend Jane Weber. Special thanks to Hospice of Summa for their care and support during Joyce's illness. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-5 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Monday, 11 a.m. at Arlington Memorial Baptist Church, 2330 E. Market St. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
