Joyce "Kathy" Propst
Kathy Propst, 81, passed away to be with her Lord and Savior on February 16, 2013. She was born in Livingston, Tennessee on December 15, 1931 to the late Elliott and Lee Emma Melton. Kathy worked for both Akron City Hospital and Firestone.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hank Propst; and siblings, Mary Lou, Christine, Estelle, Chowning, Quentin, Cloise "Jack", Irene, Sue Best, and Geneva. She will be deeply missed by her sisters, Imogene and Leatrice; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, great-great-nephews, and cousins.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday February 20 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kenneth Frisbee officiating. Interment at Greeenlawn Memorial Park.
