Joyce A. Roberts (Darkow),68 of Akron passed away in her home February 17,2006. Born in Akron, Oh to the late Albert & Irene ( Shanklin) (Darkow) also preceded in death by her mother-in-law Helen Roberts, brother Ralph and sister Illean.
Joyce,will also be missed dearly by her husband of 50 years Harley J. Roberts of the home. She was a wonderful care giver always giving of herself to family and anyone in need. One of the highlights in her life was "THE BOY" Aldin her great grandson, who will miss her very much. Survived by her daughter Deborah Moore, son Dale Roberts, sister Carolyn Johnson and good friend, Larry Brailer; Devoted sister-in-law Valerie J. Cleaver, granddaughter Sarah Frick ,great grandson Aldin Frick. Many wonderful nieces & Nephews.
In lieu of flowers Joyce's wishes are that donations be made to the Mogadore Christian Acadamy in the name of her great grandson Aldin Frick so that he may continue his education. Funeral srevices will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00a.m. at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron,Ohio 44305, with Pastor Terry Baker officiating.
