Joyce A. Sill

Joyce A. Sill, 63, passed away peacefully at home on May 31, 2023 after an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ohio, she resided in both the Akron and Athens, Ohio areas during her life. She worked as a bartender at the Elks Lodge for many years. Joyce enjoyed animals, playing darts for Bell Music
Co., going to the horse track and the beach, camping, fishing and spending time with her family.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, Dusty "Pops" Sill, Sr.; parents, Herbert and Edna (Farner) McGee; brother, Christopher McGee. She will be sadly missed by her children, Angie Reed, Jason Sill; step-children, Todd (Tania) Sill, Sr., Dusty (Laura) Sill, Jr., Erica (Bill) Ward, Mary Shannon; grandchildren, Destiny, Dreke; siblings, James White, Margo Diaz; nieces, Melissa, Renee, Kristie; nephew, Josh; several other nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 3 to 4 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The memorial service will take place at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Joyce's name to the Humane Society of Summit County.
