Juanita Mae Laubert

December 18, 1935 — September 25, 2021

Edgar Howard "Eddie" and Juanita Mae "Nita" (nee Woodrum) Laubert, of Randolph, Ohio, ages 87 and 85 respectively, died four days apart on September 21 and 25, 2021 respectively. They were married on March 28, 1955 in Sarasota, Florida.

Eddie was born on November 28, 1933 in Akron, Ohio, the son of the late Howard Laverne and Virginia Louise (nee McCool) Laubert.

Nita was born on December 18, 1935 in St. Bernard, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph Carl and Susie Gertrude (nee Wethington) Woodrum.

They have four surviving children, Jean (Bill) McClellan, Debbie (Steve) Adelman, Brian (Karen) Laubert and Kevin Laubert; their seven grandchildren, Billy (Kayla) McClellan, Dillan McClellan, Jeffrey (Katie) Adelman, Joey (Emily) Adelman, Stevie Jo (Drew) Turner, Kennedy Clemens and Haven Clemens; their great-grandchildren, William, Anthony and Alivia McClellan, and Boyd Thomas Turner, and one on the way.

Edgar's sister also survives, Patricia "Pat" (Steve) Flanagan.

Juanita's three siblings also survive, Frank (Joyce) Woodrum, Rita (Clyde) Hackathorn and Shedna "Cookie" Slayback.

Other than their parents, Eddie and Nita were preceded in death by their daughter, Barbara Spinelli; and their siblings, Kenny Laubert, LouAnn Harris, Sonny Woodrum, Ann "Boots" Kleinfeld and Mike Woodrum.

They had their pride and joy in their family and never missed any events with their grandchildren. They truly enjoyed going to their grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's football games, baseball games, soccer games, watched cheerleading and basketball games. They would work at their grandchildren's football and basketball games selling 50/50 raffle tickets for many years; they lived a life a service dedicated to the Waterloo community and Randolph/Atwater communities.

They were very close to one another and worked and volunteered at many social events, especially the food shelf, Randolph Fair, Randolph Garden Club, Randolph Hay Seed Club and Randolph Historical Society.

Mr. Laubert was a retired over the road truck driver for Roadway Express, however, he always found the time to do all of the activities he loved the most. Following retirement, Eddie mowed for many years at Paradise Lake Golf Course and was an avid golfer, who enjoyed golfing with his late brother-in-law, Lee Junior Harris and many other friends.

Mrs. Laubert was a devoted homemaker, who dedicated her life to her husband and children making sure they always came first. She loved to be in her flower garden and was on a bowling league. She was also in the Red Hat Society. Nita volunteered and was also on their auxiliary committee at Robinson Memorial Hospital.

She and her husband played cards, and everyone knew you didn't pass with three trump in your hands!

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the quick response of the Randolph Fire Department and the staff at T2 Critical Care at Akron City Hospital for the love, compassion and support they showed to our parents.

A Combined Celebration of Life Open House will be held on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 4:00 - 8:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 2697 Waterloo Road, Mogadore, Ohio 44260.
