Ellet--Juanita V. Harp, 81, had her prayers answered on July 26, 2010, when God took her in his loving arms to her heavenly home, to reunite with her husband, Ray, her mom and dad, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters who went before her. She was born on October 6, 1928, in Akron, where she lived most of her life. She was a long-time member of the Akron Baptist Temple and loved working in their nursery until she became ill in 2003. Her enjoyment came from being with family and spending time with her church lady friends. When she was able to, she loved going to church, reading the Bible, listening to gospel music, family get-togethers, miniature golf, and doing jigsaw puzzles. She will be sadly missed by daughters, Barbara (Robert) Cones, Linda (Gary) Engle, Joyce (Jim) Moss; son, Raymond Harp, Jr.; her 8 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Helen Alloway and Thelma Molnar; and many nieces and nephews. Mom, with heavy hearts we have to say goodbye for now and will miss you very much. We are very proud of you for putting up the good fight until the end, but now your suffering is over and you can finally rest peacefully. We all love you so much and are glad you and dad are back together again. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital and especially Debbie and Carolyn for their care during Juanita's final days. Calling hours will be Wednesday, 4-7 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where a funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Akron Baptist Temple or the Palliative Care Unit at Akron City Hospital.
